Friday, April 23rd, 2027: Tigers Whitewashed by Martinez
It was a dismal game for the Tigers with David Martinez on the hill. The Baltimore starter was in top form and made it a long day for Detroit with a 12-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 1 hit and piled up 3 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.

Wednesday, April 21st, 2027: 5-Hit Game for Quiñones
Who needs batting practice? Axel Quiñones of Kansas City apparently doesn't as he battered Detroit with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 9-2 win.

He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?"

A. Quiñones singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

In 2027 Quiñones has put up a .328 batting average with 22 hits, 1 home run and 13 RBIs.
Saturday, April 17th, 2027: Tigers Kight Down with Injury
Medical officials from the Detroit Tigers reported that the club's 27-year-old center fielder, Neal Kight, suffered a fractured thumb in yesterday's matchup against the Chicago (A) White Sox while being hit by a pitch. Kight is expected to miss 4 weeks of action.

So far this season, Kight has recorded a .255 batting average with 12 hits, 1 home run, 5 RBIs, 6 runs scored and a .271 OBP.
