Alex Peña's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 4-0 in April, the 29-year-old San Francisco hurler has been named National Pitcher of the Month.
He fanned 23 in 36 innings, logged an ERA of 1.25 and allowed opponents to hit .126 against him.

 | Monday, April 26th, 2027: Twins, Giants Close Deal
The general manager of the Minnesota Twins has signed off on a trade for San Francisco's 28-year old catcher Benji Acevedo. To complete the deal, the Twins will send 24-year old first baseman Samuel Sancristobal to the Giants.
In the 2027 season Acevedo is batting .422 with 27 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 14 times and batted in 13. |
 | Saturday, April 17th, 2027: Buzbee Gone for Season in San Francisco
Doctors in San Francisco said Mathew Buzbee may not play anymore this year. The Giants starting pitcher received rotator cuff inflammation during a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks and will be out for at least 7-8 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.
