Yogi Kobo of the Houston Astros could be headed for the disabled list after suffering a strained oblique in a game against the Philadelphia Phillies. He is expected to miss at least one week. The Houston center fielder was injured running the bases.
Kobo is hitting .337 in 2027 with 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 31 hits in 92 at-bats and played in 24 games. |

Team officials triumphantly announced that the Astros and superstar starting pitcher John Eicher have closed a deal that keeps the 26-year-old in a Houston uniform for another 5 years.
Eicher will earn $30,150,000 as part of the settlement.

Sportswriters questioned the wisdom of the freshly signed pact between Yogi Kobo and Houston today. The deal, set at a $32,550,000 price tag, will run for 3 years.
On the face of it, all is well, though insiders say there could be repercussions in the clubhouse if Kobo starts running his mouth as he has been known to in the past.
Kobo is hitting at a .256 rate over his 1524-game career. Lifetime he has 360 doubles, 65 triples and 132 home runs with 697 RBIs and 892 runs scored.
