At the age of 28, Silvano Chao might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Baltimore designated hitter put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days collecting the American Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs last week in 6 games.
Chao is currently batting .340 with 5 home runs and 18 RBIs. |

It was a dismal game for the Tigers with David Martinez on the hill. The Baltimore starter was in top form and made it a long day for Detroit with a 12-0 shutout. He surrendered a total of 1 hit and piled up 3 strikeouts to pick up the win in a route-going effort.

 | Saturday, April 17th, 2027: Deckard Guns Down Boston
Duane Deckard effectively shut down the Red Sox today, blanking them 7-0 on 3 hits, ringing up 7 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. The Orioles pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on.
"I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Deckard said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there."
The Red Sox skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today."
