His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing José Morales was rewarded with the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
The scrappy Rochester College Tombstones third baseman hit .643 while collecting 9 hits in 14 at-bats, 2 home runs and 6 RBIs.
Morales is presently batting .304 with 2 home runs, 14 runs scored and 16 RBIs. His OBP is .355. |
 | Monday, May 3rd, 2027: SL1 Announces Player of the Week
It was an extraordinary week for Jorge Gonzáles of the Hialeah College Bovines. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .667, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Sub League 1. Last week Gonzáles went 6-9, racked up 3 home runs and 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Hialeah College catcher.
In 2027 Gonzáles has put up a .357 batting average with 20 hits, 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. |
 | Saturday, May 1st, 2027: Wasps Yoshida Lost for Year
Doctors in Orlando College said Kanezane Yoshida may not play anymore this year. The Wasps shortstop received a dislocated shoulder during a game against the Plainfield College Black Widows and will be out for at least 7 months. Club officials told BNN they did not expect him to return to the team this season.
This year Yoshida is batting .364 with 32 hits and no home runs. He has scored 9 times and has batted in 19 runs. |
