Gonzalo Cortéz is respected by most New Hampshire fans for his no-frills style of play. The 23-year-old third baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .429 average (12-28) with 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
In 30 games this season Cortéz has compiled a .298 batting average with 37 hits and 6 home runs. He has also scored 15 times and knocked in 27 runs. |

So far in his young career, Tyler Wade has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Sub League 1 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 25-year-old Greenville right fielder hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 15 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
Wade is hitting .357 so far this season with 14 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 46 hits including 1 home run, 17 walks and .429 OBP. |

It has been quite a while since somebody stopped Charlie Barlow without a hit in a game. The El Paso couldn't do it in today's game at Field of the . The Mobile right fielder banged out 2 hits and extended his hitting streak to 20 consecutive games in his club's 10-1 victory.
C. Barlow hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th and grounded out in the 6th.
